Daniel Sullivan, the Tony Award winning director of Proof, has enjoyed a long relationship with Manhattan Theatre Club.  He holds the unique distinction of having directed more shows at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre than anyone else – an outstanding 9 productions.  This season at MTC, Dan is directing The Country House at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and Lost Lake at City Center Stage I which will mark his 13th production.  His other MTC credits include The Snow Geese, The Columnist, Good People, Time Stands Still, Accent on Youth, Rabbit Hole, After the Night and the Music, Brooklyn Boy, and Sight Unseen.  Dan also has a prolific career directing productions on Broadway, including Orphans, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Merchant of Venice, The Homecoming, Prelude to a Kiss, Julius Caesar, I’m Not Rappaport, Morning’s at Seven, The Sisters Rosensweig, and The Heidi Chronicles.  Dan was also Acting Artistic Director at MTC for the 2007-2008 season, and he served as Artistic Director of Seattle Repertory Theatre from 1981 – 1997.
